Marketing Strategy | Content Developer | Designer | Writer | Editor | Founder

Hello, I'm Mike Fuchsman, founder of SUMMIT MEDIA DESIGN, LLC. I'm passionate about the art of creative storytelling - be it in still visual form, carefully crafted written form, in motion, being spoken, on the web, mobile, tv, cinema, print, or out-of-home mediums.

In today’s fast-paced media environment, audiences decide in seconds whether to engage or move on. An outdated website, poorly executed advertisement, or misaligned media strategy can quickly undermine your brand’s credibility.

While budget-friendly options may seem appealing, your business and reputation deserve more. Experience, strategic insight, and quality execution aren't just valuable—they’re essential.

If you're ready to elevate your brand, connect with your audience, and bring your marketing vision to life, I’m here to help you build impactful, results-driven campaigns.

Experience

With over 35 years of executive-level experience in creative and marketing management, I spent the first three decades of my career helping shape the U.S. cinema advertising industry into a thriving half-billion-dollar media sector. Early on, I spearheaded the creation of an in-house creative services unit for AMC Theatres' subsidiary, National Cinema Network (NCN), in Washington, DC. Its success led to the launch and oversight of two additional facilities in Kansas City, MO, and Denver, CO—growing a one-person operation into a 30-member, full-service, multi-location team.

This team produced a wide array of marketing and media products, including the full-motion film and digital program Pre-Show Countdown, the still-frame Pre-Show Entertainment, the regional print magazine Movie Times, the in-lobby billboard format CineSign, AMC’s In-Lobby Entertainment program, and various sales and marketing collateral. Collectively, these efforts generated over $4 million annually in EBITDA.

Following the 2005 acquisition of NCN by Regal CineMedia, I joined the newly formed National CineMedia (NCM), where I expanded Regal’s 3D animation unit into a full-service motion advertising team. I later led the video production and media encoding division through NCM’s transition to digital cinema playback and ultimately assumed responsibility for one of the company’s media relations operations teams. After the 2016 merger attempt with Screenvision fell through, I exited the company in 2017.

In 2018, I joined USA Industries in Houston, TX, as Marketing Manager. I currently serve as a solo marketing resource for the company—a designer, manufacturer, and supplier of industrial products that support maintenance turnarounds, shutdowns, repairs, and capital projects across the oil & gas, chemical, and process manufacturing sectors.

Hobbies

I enjoy capturing and editing digital photography, riding my Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic, building and fixing things, cheering on the Washington Redskins (I know...) and the Houston Astros, sipping good bourbon, and enjoying live music—both from the audience and on stage as a performer.

Family

I've been happily married to my wonderful wife Elise for more than 30 years. We have two children who are thriving in their professional careers in Denver, CO.

Hello, I am Mike Fuchsman, founder of SUMMIT MEDIA DESIGN, LLC. Creative storytelling drives me - be it in still visual form, carefully crafted written form, in motion, being spoken, on the web, mobile, tv, cinema, print, or out-of-home mediums.

Consumers are more sophisticated than ever, and in a flash tune-in or tune-out the content they encounter at an unrelenting rate each day. In light of this, a poorly designed presentation, an outdated website, an amateurishly constructed advertisement, or an ill-conceived media campaign will do irreparable damage to a businesses potential to grow, and it's credibility.

I, like many people, tend to seek out cheaper service options whenever possible. However, I have frequently found that cheaper is often times just that... cheaper and less effective. When something is truly important to me, like my business, sometimes going with the more experienced, and even pricier option has been the best one, and most worth my money.

If you feel your marketing strategies need to be taken to a higher level of execution, let me help you build your campaigns into content your audience will want to pay attention to.

Experience

With over 35 years of experience in executive-level creative and marketing management, my career began with a focus on transforming the US cinema advertising sector into a robust half-billion dollar industry. Initially, I pioneered the establishment of an in-house creative services unit in Washington, DC for AMC Theater's subsidiary National Cinema Network (NCN). This initiative proved highly successful, leading to my subsequent role in setting up and overseeing two additional facilities in Kansas City, MO, and Denver, CO. What started as a solo venture evolved into a comprehensive 30-person team across multiple locations, offering full-service creative solutions.

Under my leadership, this team developed a range of impactful projects. These included the "Pre-Show Countdown," a dynamic motion picture and digital advertising program, the "Pre-Show Entertainment," a still-frame film entertainment series, the multi-region print magazine "Movie Times," the in-lobby large-format billboard "CineSign," and the in-lobby institutional advertising program "In-Lobby Entertainment" for AMC Theatres. Additionally, we provided essential marketing collateral for NCN and AMC Theaters, contributing significantly to an annual EBITDA exceeding $4 million.

Upon Regal CineMedia's acquisition of NCN in 2005, I seamlessly transitioned to National CineMedia (NCM), where I expanded Regal's 3D animation team into a comprehensive motion advertising design unit. Recognizing the industry's shift towards digital cinema, I spearheaded the company's transition from traditional media playback to cutting-edge digital-cinema technology. Later, I assumed leadership of one of NCM's media relations operations teams. Following a merger attempt with Screenvision in 2016, I concluded my tenure with NCM in 2017.

In 2018, I joined Houston-based USA Industries as Marketing Manager, serving as the sole marketing resource for this industrial designer, manufacturer, and supplier. USA Industries specializes in premium products supporting maintenance turnarounds, shutdowns, repairs, and capital projects across the oil and gas, chemical, and process manufacturing industries.

Hobbies

I love to shoot and edit digital photography, cruising on my HD Heritage Softail Classic, making and fixing things, watching the Washington Redskins (I know) football and Houston Astros baseball teams, drinking bourbon, and watching and performing live music.
